DART
DART (Discover, Assess & Recommend Tool) is the homegrown assessment toolkit built by Plain Source. It supports a principle-driven data capture and scoring process that helps clients break through outdated patterns and prepare for digital transformation.
Method
Rather than being a software application, DART is a structured methodology delivered as a set of templates and working documents.
- Discovery phase → built on documents such as the Architecture Compliance Checklist, the Architecture Stakeholder Map, and the Request for Architecture Work.
- Assessment phase → the actual assessment instruments: catalogues of architecture principles, architecture questions, and digital-disruption questions (Excel workbooks) for the assess phase.
Papers
The papers directory holds the whitepapers and collateral that position DART within Plain Source's overall approach.
- Digital Approach → the firm's four catalysts for accelerating transformation, and DART as the launching pad that yields directional recommendations from an assessment.
- Essential Readings → curated reading lists on enterprise and software architecture, SOA, and writing skills.
